"I did a series of paintings featuring doors. They began showing up in my work as I untangled emotions and memories.  They spoke to me, both architecturally and metaphorically. The series marked my first foray into encaustic painting – a process in which layers of colored beeswax are fixed with heat.

These pieces were my musings with both concept and medium."
